VFJ: Member Biographies
Seyedeh Hamaseh Kianfar
Founder and chair, has given lectures internationally and is traveling to Thailand and Laos within the next month to continue doing research in human trafficking and HIV. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Organization and Leadership.
Samiramis Behjat
Secretariat, is currently studying Bio-chemistry with the hopes of joining the medical field so that she can better serve humanity. Samiramis has led several projects including UNICEF’s Trick or treat project, which raised $1000.00 for a Palestinian Youth Center.
Neda Ana Tejada Castillo
Finance director, was born to Salvadorian parents and immigrated to the U.S when she was 5 years old. She is currently obtaining a degree in psychology and her specific interest lies in the welfare of children. Neda has started several projects including: collecting basic school supplies for underprivileged children in Central America.
Omid Sadravi
Director of Membership, is currently pursuing his goal of becoming a dentist. Born in Iran, Omid’s background serves an important role in VFJ.
Emily Hedges
Director of Public Relations/ Communication, is a student of Sufism. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she comes from a loving family of educators. Emily is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Educational Therapy and is a teacher in a first grade classroom. Emily feels that it is her responsibility and calling to provide service to children and youth globally.
